Killa City homicide No. 5: Man fatally shot in front yard
Kansas City, Missouri, notched its third homicide of the year Sunday afternoon when a man died after being shot in the 2500 block of Chestnut.
KCMO police received a call of a shooting around 1:40 p.m., and found a black man around 30 years old shot in a front yard. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told police that they heard gunshots and then saw a black man wearing a black jacket and stocking cap running from the scene.
