If you’re looking to get rich, politics is generally not the line of work you should get into. But if you do go to Washington, D.C., to work with legislators, it’s wise to stay away from Kansas’ freshman Republican Rep. Kevin Yoder. His staff of humble public servants are a little, er, humbler than most legislative staffs.

According to Legistorm, Yoder is the seventh-stingiest freshman representative in the House. The 3rd District congressman from Kansas spent $138,985.01 on 15 staff salaries in his first quarter in office, placing him squarely in the bottom 10. But Yoder isn’t nearly as cheap as Illinois Republican Joe Walsh, who shelled out only $98,900.33 on employees. See Yoder’s complete list after the jump.
