Keith Olbermann calls for Billy Long to resign for mocking the tornado alert system

Last week, Countdown‘s Keith Olbermann called for U.S. Congressman Billy Long to “resign in shame” after mocking tornado warning systems and proposing selling off ham radio frequencies. Long’s congressional district in Missouri includes Joplin, which was leveled by an EF5 tornado that a few weeks ago killed 141 people. Too soon, man. Too soon.

Olbermann, who is preparing for the debut of Countdown on Current TV, named Long runner-up in his competition for “Worst Person of the Day.” Somehow Sarah Palin still won.
