Kebry Barbe, Whiteman airman suspected in possible homicide, commits suicide

AWOL Whiteman airman Kerby Barbe, who was being sought in connection with a possible homicide, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after authorities surrounded him in a Blanco County, Texas, home.
The story is a strange one: Barbe and another unnamed airman didn’t show
up for work at Missouri’s Whiteman Air Force Base on Monday.
Authorities began searching for the men with the U.S. Air Force Office
of Special Investigations, investigating the case as a possible homicide that they suspected Barbe of committing.
