Kassandra Peters killed in shooting at a Travelers Inn; 46 KCMO homicides in 2012

• Kassandra Peters is KCMO’s 46th homicide victim of 2012.

The victim of Sunday morning’s homicide at the Travelers Inn has been identified as 24-year-old Kassandra Peters.

Kansas City police were called to a shooting at 6006 East 31st Street around 1 a.m. Officers found Peters, a clerk at the motel, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
