Kansas City Health Center will host a vasectomy clinic on May 30 and 31 in assistance with Planned Parenthood Great Plains (PPGP) at its Leavenworth Road location. With this expansion of services, the two-day clinic will offer irreversible, 99% effective contraception.

Patients hoping to get a vasectomy will first have a consultation with a provider before confirming their appointment. After confirming that the patient wants to and is able to go through with the vasectomy, the procedure only requires one outpatient visit to complete.

PPGP accepts most major insurance and offers financial assistance, if applicable, and those hoping for help paying should call the clinic ahead of their appointment to ensure they qualify. The price of a vasectomy at the clinic ranges from $250 at the lowest to $750 at the highest.

“Providing accessible reproductive and sexual health care is at the core of our mission to empower individuals to lead healthy, autonomous lives,” says Dr. Iman Alsaden, chief medical officer at PPGP. “This vasectomy clinic is an essential addition to our services in Kansas City, offering a vital family planning option that helps people make informed choices and prevent unintended pregnancies.”

The clinic is located at 6103 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas, and offers a wide variety of reproductive health services including medicinal and surgical abortion, contraception, STI and HIV screening, and pregnancy services.
