Kansas Jayhawks bust President Obama’s bracket; get ready for a roster overhaul

The Kansas Jayhawks once again busted President Obama‘s bracket, losing in the Elite Eight yesterday to 11th-seeded VCU (thank Deadspin for the “keepsake poster” above). For Kansas, next year’s roster is likely to look a lot different from this one. Besides losing three seniors — Brady Morningstar, Tyrel Reed and Mario Little — the VCU game was likely the last for the Morris twins.

The junior big men are looking like high selections in the NBA Draft, and leaving early would be the smart move for them. Marcus Morris is projected as a lottery pick by NBADraft.net, going No. 13 to the Phoenix Suns. Brother Markieff Morris is also looking like a first-round selection, going No. 15 to the Indiana Pacers. Draft Express’ top 100 players ranks Marcus the 17th best prospect and Markieff the 23rd. They aren’t the only ones on pro basketball teams’ draft boards.
