Kansas City’s most wanted fugitives (slideshow)

The FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” program turns 60 March 14. Kansas City’s history with the list is long, dating to the list’s inception with Orba Elmer Jackson, an escaped federal prisoner who became the seventh person added to the list (his run from the feds ended on March 23, 1950, in Oregon).

The mugs of 20 fugitives with ties to Kansas City have been featured on the list and plastered on post office walls. The last was Shauntay Henderson, who was wanted for second-degree murder for shooting DeAndre Parker in a convenience-store parking lot in September 2006 but was later found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and armed criminal action.
