- It’s all All-Star, all the time, this week.
If you are to believe everything you read, Kansas City is quaint and hopeful, and the town you just won’t fall in love with on the first go-round. But we’ll love you anyway and thank you for coming. And keep a plate of barbecue ready for you in case you change your mind.
Our team can’t quite get it together, and that makes us sad, but not so sad that we’re willing to give up. We’ve got young talent that’s not ready for the major leagues, but when it is, that will be something. We can’t stop believing because this is Kansas City, where George Brett still eats dinner in public and signs autographs. We don’t have enough gumption to have guile.
