Kansas City Symphony offering $25 Student Season Pass

When you say something like, “Oh, no, I’m sorry, I can’t go dallying about in Westport tonight. I have tickets to the symphony,” you sound either really, really classy or really, really snobby. It kind of depends on your tone.
The Kansas City Symphony is offering new “student rate” season passes to students holding a valid, school-issued student ID card. The season pass is $25 and is valid for 11 of the 14 Classical Series concerts for the 2013-14 calendar. If you break it down, that’s $2.27 per concert. That’s like, less than the price of a happy-hour well drink at whatever terrible college bar you’d be wasting your time at. At that rate, you can afford to be snobby.
The new pass continues the Kansas City Symphony’s dedication to making classical music accessible for a younger generation. The pass is designed for high school and college students, but if you’re a parent with an extremely precocious child, the $25 Student Season Pass will work for the kid (still needs a school-issued photo ID, though).
For more information on the pass and eligible concerts, you can go to the Kansas City Symphony website or call the box office at 816-471-0400.
