Kansas City snowplow driver shot while on a break

A Kansas City, Missouri, snowplow driver is in stable condition after being shot in the back early Friday morning.
Kansas City police say the on-duty snowplow driver was taking a break, parked underneath the Interstate 470 overpass on James A. Reed Road, when a vehicle pulled next to the plow, a suspect exited the vehicle and began shooting into the plow’s cab.
The male driver jumped out of the passenger side of the cab and called for help. KC police officers arrived at the scene around 2:35 a.m., and the shooting victim was taken to a local hospital.
