Kansas City police officers to be annoyed into wearing seatbelts

Kansas City police officers will now have to wear their seatbelts or be annoyed by a never-ending beeping alarm. The Star reported that police mechanics no longer will be allowed to disable the alarms, which beep until officers buckle up. This comes after last week’s do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do news that some officers don’t click it but don’t get tickets.

Deputy Police Chief Cy Ritter reportedly told Kansas City’s police board

that all patrol cars will be inspected to ensure that the alarms are

working.
