Wednesday morning has seen two officer-involved shootings in the area — and one has ended in the shooting death of a suspected “prowler.”

The Star reported that officers shot a man during a confrontation at a vacant house on the city’s south side in the Ruskin Heights neighborhood. A suspected prowler was reportedly seen at a home in the 7800 block of East 111th Terrace. The door of the home was kicked in, and police confronted the man around 9:20 a.m.
