Kansas City police investigating second homicide of 2012; man found dead at 39th and Paseo

  • Police say a man in his 60s is the victim.

UPDATE II: The victims of Monday’s triple homicide have been identified as Herschel Pike, 41; his mother, Donna Pike, 62; and Edward Williams, 57, who is a family friend.

UPDATE I: Kansas City police searched the home where the man’s body was found and discovered the bodies of a man and a woman. Police are investigating the incident as a triple homicide, which would bring the total killings in KCMO to four for 2012.

Kansas City, Missouri’s second homicide of 2012 came Monday morning. Officers were investigating the death of a man found at 39th and the Paseo.

The victim was found dead in a yard. His name hasn’t been released. Neither has his cause of death. But he’s described as a black male about 60 years old.
