Kansas City police investigating a sergeant linked to a man who allegedly stole $7,500 (updated)

UPDATE (June 10): The Kansas City police sergeant reportedly linked to a a felony stealing case in Raytown has been suspended, The Kansas City Star reported. The sergeant allegedly drove a friend to a Raytown man’s home. The problem: The sergeant was allegedly wearing his uniform and driving a patrol car … while off-duty and out of his jurisdiction. The sergeant’s friend is accused of stealing $7,500.
The news gets worse for the sergeant: The FBI is reportedly investigating the incident (the FBI takes the lead in “color of law” abuses of authoritah!). Respect my authoritah!
