The list whores at Forbes have gathered a list of the best places to retire. Forget beaches and sun. Forbes’ list is all cloudy skies and a shit-ton of snow (Fargo? Really?). And yes, Kansas City, Missouri, made the cut for being “extremely affordable, good driving environment, conducive to active

retirements.” Isn’t that why you’re throwing money into your 401(k)?

Of course, KC has some drawbacks, namely “crime” and “too few doctors.” So come for the barbecue (Forbes’ “fast fact” says we’re the “world’s unofficial barbecue capital”), but just know that you’ll have a hard time finding a doctor if you have a heart attack — or get shot.
