Kansas City Chiefs optimistically release preseason schedule — in the middle of lockout

The Kansas City Chiefs are releasing a preseason slate of games in the middle of the NFL’s lockout, which seems a bit bizarre. Or maybe the franchise is just feeling optimistic.

Nevertheless, the first scheduled preseason game is August 12 against Tampa Bay at Arrowhead. Then the Chiefs hit the road to Baltimore to play the Ravens (date and time to be released later). The Chiefs play the St. Louis Rams in game three and close out the preseason at Super Bowl Champion Green Bay in game four. Or so the schedule says. Who knows if the players and owners will be done with the lockout by August. This could just be a cruel tease.
