Kansas City Chiefs’ Leonard Pope talks about saving 6-year-old boy from drowning (video)

Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Leonard Pope saved a 6-year-old boy from drowning on Saturday. Pope spoke with ESPN about the rescue, and interviewer Reischea Canidate awkwardly referenced Mariah Carey’s song “Hero” (via Deadspin).

Pope also told the story on the NFL Network Monday night (the video isn’t embeddable but you can watch it by clicking here). In a surprise twist, Pope also spoke with the boy’s mother, Anne Moore.
