Kansas City Chiefs have a worse chance of making the playoffs than the Chargers?

The Kansas City Chiefs sit one-game up on the San Diego Chargers in the race for the AFC West. That doesn’t matter much to Football Outsiders, whose latest playoff odds has the Chargers taking the division and the Chiefs with just a 51 percent chance of making the playoffs at all.

The Chiefs are 7-4 with a victory over the 6-5 Chargers. Still, Football Outsiders likes the Chargers to make the playoffs, giving them 57 percent odds. This seems like a bunch of crap to me given Kansas City has very winnable games coming up at home with Denver, Tennessee and Oakland (and a road trip at San Diego to end all off the talk).
