Kansas City Chiefs fans left car exhaust and little else in St. Joseph

The Kansas City Chiefs are on a bummer streak. In between losses to AFC West rivals Oakland and Denver comes word from St. Joseph that hosting Chiefs’ training camp did not light up area cash registers.

The Chiefs trained at Missouri Western State University after spending 19 summers in western Wisconsin. The state of Missouri lured away the franchise from the land of Leinenkugel’s with $25 million in tax credits.
