Kansas City Chiefs fans give Eli Young Band hell for botching the national anthem

UPDATE: The Eil Young band just sent out an apology for faltering in their national anthem performance. Read it after the jump …
After the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos on Sunday, there were three losers: The anemic Broncos who firmed up their position in the AFC West basement, their now-former head coach Josh McDaniels who was fired after the loss, and country act The Eli Young Band.
The Texas-based band was on the field at Arrowhead to sing the national anthem, which was probably not that huge of a gig for the group with a rising national profile. They’ve been on The Tonight Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live and performed at the Grand Ole Opry. What’s the national anthem at a football game? Apparently it’s too much.
