Kansas brothers win lottery, buy drugs, blow house up

Two Wichita brothers just wanted to celebrate winning $75,000 in the lottery with a little pot and meth. You know, like you do. Instead, they blew their house up, the Wichita Eagle reports. The paper says the explosion was triggered when one of the brothers was trying to refill butane torches that they were using to light their bongs. You know, like you do.
But the fumes from the empty fuel canisters filled the house. As Wichita Police Sgt. Bruce Watts explained to the Eagle, “The butane vapor reached the pilot light in the furnace, and as you might expect, ka-boom.”
One of the brothers was burned and went to the hospital. Police went to the house and arrested the other brother. The paper also reports that there were children in the house. And the victim was wearing a Kansas Lottery T-shirt at the time of the explosion. You know, like you do.
