Smoke it while you can, folks.

Missouri state senators unanimously passed a bill banning K2 synthetic pot today, including an amendment that would put penalties in line with those for possessing the real deal. The bill will now have to be sent to the House for a vote. If the House approves, then the bill will go to Gov. Jay Nixon.

Kansas City’s own Sen. Jolie Justus told reporters that law enforcement should target manufacturers, not users.

“We should slap people on the wrist if this is a first-time thing, and really go after the people who are manufacturing this stuff,” Justus told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Possession of less than 35 grams of real pot is a misdemeanor.
