Justin Schmitt accused of stealing a riding lawnmower. Sheriff determined to catch him

Riding lawnmowers don’t make for fast getaways. Justin K. Schmitt (the muddy guy on the right) is accused of trying to make a getaway on a stolen riding mower around 10 a.m. yesterday in northeast Jackson County.

Once Schmitt apparently realized he’d been found out, he abandoned ship and ran into a wooded area near Union School and Atherton roads. That’s when the sheriff’s office unleashed hell upon Schmitt.
