Justin Ripley

Lawrence lost one of its finest artisans of brainy indie pop when songwriter Justin Ripley moved to Seattle a year ago, effectively ending the reign of his band, the Pomonas. Since cozying up to the Space Needle, Ripley has found steady work as a soundman, parlaying it into a South American tour with two European metal bands. He has continued writing at a breakneck pace and is preparing a 28-song solo album called Vowels for a spring release. Much of his new material is written for piano, but he’ll be slinging a borrowed guitar for Tuesday’s holiday homecoming show at the Replay Lounge.
