Joseph Hendrix gets 25 years for murdering Michael Tutera

The 16-year-old accused of paying his brother an extra $20 for killing Kansas City businessman Michael J. Tutera has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Joseph Hendrix was sentenced Thursday to 25 years for second-degree murder, 15 years for first-degree burglary and 10 years for armed criminal action. The sentences will run concurrently, and Hendrix must serve 85 percent of the murder sentence before he is eligible for parole.
