Some people don’t know the difference between good attention and bad attention. This is often the type of loser you see auditioning for reality shows, assuming that they “tell it like it is and some people don’t like it but whatever, I’m gon’ be me.” They think, somehow, that declaring you’re an asshole somehow absolves you from actually being an asshole. John Ready is such a man.
Ready, a University of Kansas student, got his chance to prove this when he was hit with a measly $10 parking fine. Instead of just paying the ticket like a normal person, Ready decided this was a horrible injustice against him. So he decided he would fight back by paying the fine entirely in pennies.
In Ready’s own words to the Daily Kansan: “Part of this I did just to be an asshole. But it’s still really funny.”
