Jim Rowland picks dogfight with Mayor Mark Funkhouser

Kansas City’s mayoral race is going to the dogs. Mayor Mark Funkhouser started the dogfight with the return of Maria the Poodle in a campaign video that swings from cute overload to detestable as Maria stumps for her master’s re-election campaign.

Now Jim Rowland is getting his licks in with the help of his “working dog.” Rowland is careful to say he likes poodles in the video because no one wants to anger Kansas City’s powerful poodle voting block. Watch the video after the jump.
