Jesse ‘Opie’ Ross’ frat brothers party to keep his memory alive

If November comes and Jesse “Opie” Ross hasn’t been found, it’ll mark the third year since he vanished on a model UN trip to Chicago.
His brothers in UMKC’s Lambda Chi Alpha are trying to keep his memory alive, and they’ll keep trying tonight at the Lambdapalooza concert and food drive at the University Playhouse.
Part of the night’s events include a talk on safety by Jesse Ross’ father, Donald Ross, says sophomore Derrick Neuner, who calls Ross his “missing brother.”
Neuner never met Ross, but he says it’s important to “stay loyal to our brother.”
They’re also hoping to collect can of food for Harvesters. Last year, the frat raised 85,000 pounds of food in a week. This year, their goal is no less than 125,000, Neuner says.
