Jerry Moran ties opponent, declares victory

The real action takes place in August, however, when Republicans decide which white, conservative congressman they want to see drub a hapless Democrat in the general election.

Jerry Moran and Todd Tiahrt, the two congressmen, are pretty much the same guy. But that’s not what they want Republican primary voters to think, so the two men are playing up their differences, even when they don’t exist.

Moran recently released a press release celebrating a high rating from the American Conservative Union. A substantial portion of the press release mocked the conservative bona fides of Tiahrt — who received the exact same score.
