Jeff Taylor, police officer struck by lightning during Joplin tornado-relief effort, has died (updated)

UPDATE (June 7): The visitation for Riverside police officer Jeff Taylor is set for Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m., according to Crime Scene KC. Taylor’s funeral will follow at Pleasant Valley
Baptist Church in Liberty, and he’ll be buried in Cameron.
Taylor was injured in a lightning strike in Joplin while helping with the rescue effort following the May 22 tornado that ripped through the city. The 31-year-old died last week.
