Jared Allen is really happy to not play for the Chiefs anymore

  • Jared Allen is happy he left town.

Defensive end Jared Allen’s time with the Kansas City Chiefs was a little bit troubled. Although Allen, now with the Minnesota Vikings, and Chiefs fans got along great, the front office took issue with his two DUI arrests in 2006. That legal trouble pushed Allen into a pissing match with Chiefs’ general manager Carl Peterson, who, Allen felt, had reneged on a promise to sign him to a long-term contract. Eventually Allen was shipped off to the Vikings, whose fans fell in love hard for the guy. Like, seriously hard.

Sunday will mark Allen’s return to Arrowhead, and the mullet-sporting quarterback smusher has spend the the last few days telling reporters just how happy he is to not play for the Chiefs anymore.
