James Wineteer accused of nearly choking out a cop after getting tased

Some people talk about fighting cops. Others just do it. James Wineteer is apparently a man of action — however stupid that action may be.

Salina police were called to a disturbance early Thursday morning when they encountered the 35-year-old who allegedly started to tangle with police officer Kyle Tonniges, who was trying to arrest him. Police say Wineteer Wineteer was tased but that didn’t stop him; he pulled the probes out of his chest, rushed the Tonniges and locked him in a choke hold, nearly choking the cop out.
