Jamaal Charles is closer the Madden Curse, er, cover

Jamaal Charles is in the Madden Elite Eight. The Kansas City Chiefs running back has defeated Jacksonville running back Maurice Jones-Drew in his quest to be on the cover of the biggest football video game ever made.

Charles had to work for it this time, winning by a slim 51 percent to 49 percent margin. Charles’ next obstacle is Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis. This should be a much easier matchup since Hillis is the 10th seed (Charles is the sixth seed). Whoever wins this matchup will have his work cut out for him, facing either Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers or New England running back Danny Woodhead. Charles’ “dream come true” might become a nightmare, though.
