It’s time to cast your votes for the Best of Kansas City: Roaring ’20s Edition
Hey! You! Yeah, youse! We want the names, capiche? By names, we mean all of your favorite things about KC, which is a lot less threatening than you probably thought it was. This isn’t Tom’s Town anymore, it’s just time for the Best of Kansas City voting round! You can cast your votes starting Wednesday, September 1 until September 30.
For our nominations round, you sent us over 54,000 submissions in our 500+ categories, so we’ve got a pretty good idea of all of the people, places, and things that make you love our town. Now it’s time for you to pick the cream of the crop of our Paris on the Plains.
We don’t have any categories for snazziest spit curl or best prohibition-style bathtub brew (because that’s probably illegal). But you’ll get to weigh in on some classic categories. As the debate over “Best Sauce” in the BBQ category rages on, we must know: Where is the “Best Burlesque?” What’s the “Best Place for a First Kiss?” And honestly? “Best Speakeasy” just feels so 1920s jazzy that we need you to vote so we know where to go ASAP.
Looking for the Best of KC 2020? Last year we had nearly 45,000 people cast almost 700,000 votes in almost 450 categories. That’s big news, KC! Check out all of last year’s winners here.
