Is Google Fiber going to start a cable service in Kansas City?
Google’s Kansas City Internet plans may be getting even more awesome. Both KCs freaked out when the search behemoth settled on our little burgs as the first metro area in the nation to get eyeball-popping online speed. After all, KCK and KCMO beat out more than 1,000 other towns hoping to land the fiber.
But news comes today from The Wall Street Journal that Google might have even bigger plans than 1-gig-a-second browsing. The paper says sources are chirping about Google getting into the cable game, taking on customer-service-challenged cable companies.
