Saturday’s 2:30 p.m. Border Showdown at Arrowhead Stadium (1 Arrowhead Drive) between the University of Missouri and the University of Kansas might settle the division and decide who loses to Texas by 45 points in the Big 12 Championship game. Missouri’s rebuilding team is too young to compete for national contention, and Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing’s turnover difficulties have doomed the Jayhawks’ season. Still, the winner of this game provides each team’s fans license to taunt rival fans and bore innocent bystanders for months and possibly years.
