Insound 10 Classic Mates Rock With Museum Merchandise

Insound is offering up ten works of art from Mike Perry, entitled The Insound 10 Classic, which is a take off of the Insound 20. The Insound 20 was an merch design project pairing Jason Munn with 20 of Insound’s favorite bands, whereas the Insound 10 Classic “is a visual narrative of 20 years (1977-1997) of punk, new wave and indie rock.”

The art is available in poster, t-shirt, or tote bag form. So, it’s pretty much like what you can find in an art museum, but more rock ‘n’ roll. All the items are limited edition, but so were the ones from Insound 20, and you can still get them pretty easily.

The works all have a similar theme, in that it’s like looking at a flier for a show with no date, time, or venue. They’re artsy, but not overly pretentious, and keep in step with the bands’ sounds. The Richard Hell & the Voidoids poster to the left demonstrates that with its jagged, angular lines, whereas the Apples In Stereo‘s print is sort of gloopy and swirly.

The prints go on sale in September, but you can check them all out over at Insound right now and start arguing on the Internet right now.
