Inmate charged with murder of cellmate in St. Joseph
A convicted murderer at Buchanan County Jail in St. Joseph has been charged with killing his cellmate, Michael Bozarth, 25, in their cell. Tony King was charged this week with strangling Bozarth, whose body was discovered by jail staff members on June 9. King made his first court appearance today.
King is currently awaiting sentencing for murdering his 7-year-old son, according to KQTV Channel 2 in St. Jo. In May, he was convicted of strangling the boy and setting their home on fire after he was dead.
