Incoming: the Psychedelic Furs with She Wants Revenge
Emerging from England’s punk scene in the late ’70s, the Psychedelic Furs dabbled in austere art-rock before churning out a slew of early ’80s radio-topping dance hits (“Love My Way,” “The Ghost In You,” “Pretty in Pink,” etc.). After going on hiatus in 1991, the band reunited in 2001 and frontman Richard Butler has hinted at a new album. The good news? The Furs will be hitting each and every favorite track as they re-live the new-wave craze on June 14 at the Midland with their derivative modern counterpart: Joy Division-loving rockers She Wants Revenge.
