Incoming: Rodrigo Y Gabriela

Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo Y Gabriela will be setting the Uptown aflame on May 11 with their furious Spanish-style guitar playing. Flying fingers, knocking knuckles and a penchant for thrash metal (the two met in Mexico City in a metal band called Tierra Acida, and list Overkill, Metallica, Megadeath and Slayer as key influences) all fuse into a blowtorch of unplugged, intricate acoustic guitar rage.
