Incoming: Midlake at the Jackpot, March 12

Midlake‘s new single, “Acts of Man,” featuring two songs from next year’s The Courage of Others, came out today. If that wasn’t enough, they announced the tour dates in support of the album, and right before they end their tour with a SXSW performance, they’ll be appearing at the Jackpot Music Hall in Lawrence on March 12.

If the new album is even half as good as The Trials of Van Occupanther, it’s going to be a highlight of next year’s releases. There’s a big write-up over at Stereogum that tells all the pertinent details.
