Incoming: Mark Chesnutt at the Legends, October 3

In the second free show we’re telling you about today, Mark Chesnutt will perform a free acoustic performance at the Legends on October 3rd. Chesnutt is best known for “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing,” as well as my personal favorite, “Bubba Shot The Jukebox.”
Kansas City’s hot rod country act John Joiner Band, is the opening act at 6:30pm, and Chestnutt takes the stage at at 7:00pm. Chesnutt’s expected to play for an hour to an hour and a half, and immediately following the concert, Providence Medical Center hosts a limited-seating afterparty at Wild Bill’s Legendary Steak House & Saloon where attendees can meet Chesnutt and have their photo taken with him while also enjoying free food and drinks (if you can consider the $100 it costs to attend “free”). Proceeds from the afterparty will benefit the Providence Saint John Foundation and are available for purchase by calling 913-596-4151.
The free show takes place after the Kansas Lottery 300 race at the nearby Kansas Speedway, but is open to race and non-race fans alike, as well as being all-ages. Best of all?
“Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the outdoor beer gardens or guests can enjoy the concert from the many patios and decks of the surrounding restaurants.” Because, really — it isn’t a country show if you can’t drink a beer, right?
