Incoming: Bay Area artist the Jacka

Consider yourself warned: the Jacka is coming, and he is bringing Tear Gas.
The Bay Area denizen has been hustlin’ for a while — he’s featured on more than 50 discs, has dropped records of his own and has generally been singing the praises of purp for years (he was born in ’77) — but Kansas City will be getting its first whiff on Labor Day weekend, when the Mob Figaz crewman swings through town for multiple appearances all over the metro in support of his latest album, Tear Gas.
Local rapper Nelson El of the Clip Up Gang is the organizing force behind Jacka’s visit, and he’s got a full weekend planned: “Thursday 9/3 we will be at the America’s Pub in Westport to jump it off,” writes Nelson. “Friday 9/4 we will be in KCK at the National Guard Armory doing a concert for the under 21, and Saturday 9/5 we will be at the Do Drop In on 40 Hwy for the Official After Party.”
Tickets for the America’s Pub show are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. $50 VIP packages are also available. Here’s the Facebook event page. More info on the other events as it comes in — Jacka’s also doing an in-store at 7th Heaven, we’re told.
In the meantime, here’s some video ish.
