Hyatt Crown Center getting a new name — 30 years after the skywalk collapse

Thirty years after the skywalk collapse, the Hyatt Crown Center is getting a new name.
NBC Action News reported that the Hyatt is being rebranded as the Sheraton Crown Center and will receive a “significant upgrade.” The upgrade is mostly cosmetic: “a new front drive, overall lobby improvements and the brand’s
signature guest experiences.”
However, just days after the anniversary of the July 17, 1981, collapse that killed 114 people and ceremonies remembering those who died that night, we’re still not any closer to a memorial.
