There are plenty of fine ways to get a boy to quit hanging around you daughter. Bribery is a fair option. Allegedly grabbing your daughter’s pesky ex-boyfriend by the neck, however, is not a good plan. Especially in a police department parking lot. Super-especially when the county prosecutor and cops witness the incident.

That’s the way Hutchinson Police Captain and Assistant Police Chief Troy Hoover allegedly dealt with his daughter’s ex- in late November, which earned Hoover a suspension from work.
