Hot Funkhouser Jams

Tonight at 6:00 p.m., Mayor Mark Funkhouser’s gonna spit some mad freestyles on KPRS 103.3 with host Sean Tyler. Just kidding, he’s going to be talking about the budget, because like President Barack Obama, he’s on a bit of a media blitz right now.

In the press release, Funk says, “As the nation’s oldest African American operated radio station, KPRS has been an anchor in Kansas City for decades. I look forward to sharing my thoughts on the budget and hearing what KPRS listeners have to say.”

KPRS got an earful not so long ago after a DJ solicited commentary from listeners who’d had bad experiences at the Power & Light District with Cordish’s dress code. I hope tonight’s reaction to the mayor is as lively. If the budget talk gets boring, please, somebody, ask Funk if he can do the Ricky Bobby.
