Homicides in Kansas City, Missouri, reach 106 over Thanksgiving weekend

Kansas City, Missouri’s homicide total was at 101 before Thanksgiving weekend. By the end of the weekend, there were five more killings in the city.
Antonio Thompson was the first. On the eve of Thanksgiving, the 26-year-old was found dead inside a home in the 3700 block of East 47th Terrace. Thompson’s family member requested a check on him after they were unable to contact him. Thompson was found dead inside his home. Police deemed his death “suspicious,” and homicide detectives are investigating.
More killings would come Thanksgiving night.
