Hola Cafe caffeinates with Latin flavors
A new Latin cafecito has landed in Kansas City. Hola Cafe is located just 10 minutes from downtown on Truman Road. First opening its doors in October 2023 from a cozy house location, this hidden gem has now found a new home, sharing space with Hola Nail Salon.
While the space is still undergoing a transformation, the coffee shop is open now. The family-owned shop serves signature drinks, and customers can look forward to rotating menus that complement the changing seasons.
What makes this Latin coffee shop stand out are the unique and culturally-inspired drinks. Take the Mazapan Latte, made from a popular Mexican candy with peanuts and powdered sugar. Another must-try is the Duvalin Latte with hazelnut, vanilla, and strawberry-flavored cream-like candy, capturing the essence of an iconic Mexican treat. Duvalin is a soft scoopable candy contained in a small plastic dish.
Owners Aracely Arevalo and Alberto Sanchez opened the cafecito as a way of honoring their mother, Mercedes Mora. They are enthusiastic about creating a space that not only serves exceptional coffee but also fosters a sense of cultural connection. The blend of Latin flavors, friendly service, and a touch of local charm make this shop a much-needed addition to Kansas City’s coffee scene.
Hola Cafe is located 5236 E Truman Rd Kansas City, MO 64127.
