He’s Sleighing, Er, Slaying Them Up There

This Christmas isn’t merely a homecoming for Chris Porter. He’s sort of returning to the scene of the crime. Sure, the Olathe native may operate out of Los Angeles now — that’s just a smart career move after a guy finishes in the top three on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and starts racking up late-night appearances and sets on Comedy Central Presents and Live at Gotham. But Porter still comes home when he has something big to perpetrate, like his 2009 live-performance DVD, Screaming From the Cosmos, which he shot right here at the Kansas City Improv (7260 Northwest 87th Street, 816-759-5233).
